Refund Policy

The short version
Every song is made to order for one specific person. Because of that, we cannot refund a song once it has been generated and delivered — which is exactly why we show you the lyrics and let you change them before a single note is recorded.
Before you pay
Nothing is generated before payment. You choose your options and record your story, and you pay before any work begins.
After you pay, before the song is made
This is where you have control:
- We show you the memories we found in your story. You can change which ones are used.
- We show you the draft lyrics. You get one free revision — change a line, a name, the tone, anything.
- Only when you approve the lyrics do we make the music.
If you are not happy at the lyrics stage and do not want to continue, email hello@getserenada.com before approving, and we will refund you in full. At that point we have spent very little and you have received nothing.
After the song is made
You receive two takes to choose from, and one free redo if neither works.
Once you have downloaded your song, we cannot offer a refund. It is a unique digital product, made for you, that cannot be returned or resold.
When we will refund you
We will refund in full if:
- You ask before approving the lyrics.
- We fail to deliver your song at all.
- Something on our side went wrong and we cannot fix it with a redo.
- You were charged twice, or charged for something you did not order.
When we will not refund you
- You changed your mind after downloading the song.
- You do not like the song, but approved the lyrics and used your redo.
- The recipient did not react the way you hoped.
- You supplied a recording that was inaudible or a story with too little in it, and the lyrics reflected that. Tell us at the lyrics stage, not after.
Subscriptions
If you are on a monthly plan, you can cancel any time and you will not be charged again. We do not refund part-used months, and unused songs do not carry over.
How to ask
Email hello@getserenada.com with your order email address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 2 business days.
Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, back to your original payment method. Their processing usually takes 5–10 business days.
Chargebacks
If something is wrong, please email us first. We would much rather fix it. Raising a chargeback without contacting us costs us a fee on top of the refund, and we will contest chargebacks where the song was approved and downloaded.
